Volunteer of the Year and
Recipient of the Bruce Child’s Memorial Award.
Bruce Child’s Memorial Award was established by the OTAto recognize a dedicated club volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to his/her community tennis club for an extended period of time.
The WTC Board 2022 chose Patrick for the Bruce Child’s Memorial Award for his long time commitment to our Club. Patrick has worked tirelessly for years and years behind the scenes, never seeking the spotlight or any acknowledgement of the time and energy he has put into the club. At the club almost daily but rarely seen, he opens or closes the club ensuring it is secure and safe after another day of play. He is first to assist with opening the club and getting the courts in play conditions.
