Tennis Lessons with Club Pro
The Welland Tennis Club offers private, semi-private and group lessons with a Certified Club Pro. Whether you’re a beginner to the game of tennis and you want to learn the basics, or you’re an intermediate level player that’s looking to focus on adding key shots to your game, private or small group sessions are a great way to improve your skills in a shorter period of time than large group lessons.
For promising juniors or dedicated adults looking to really elevate their game, it’s recommended to focus on a series of private lessons to really concentrate on breaking down your strokes to see where you can improve.
Club Pro & Manager
Dave Boland has worked in the capacity of Manager-Club Pro at the Welland Tennis Club since 1993.
Dave enjoys all facets of the game – from being part of the on-court action to helping develop the behind-the scenes teamwork that adds to the success of the WTC. The opportunity to use his skills, techniques and expertise to assist people improve their tennis play, whether beginner or intermediate, is especially satisfying for Dave.
Dave has coached great players in various age categories, including Frank Dancevic (Canadian #1), Stefan Simeunovic (Ontario #1, ATP ranked), Simona Stepanovic, Payton Dith, Lara Perdonna, and Jibran Mohammadi.
Private/Semi-Private for Adults and Juniors
- Private – $45/hr plus HST
- Semi-Private – $30/hr ea. plus HST
- Tennis Clinics – 1 hour- $15 ea.

Adult Program Clinics
Note: Clinic participants are required to be WTC members or Guests. Guests are required to pay the Standard Guest fee of an additional $10 per day up to a maximum of 3 days.
Spring Session – Adult Beginner Clinic- 2026
When: Starts Sunday, May 10th – Weekly sign ups
Time: 9:00 – 10:00 am
Cost: $15 per class for Members
$15 plus $10 per class – Guest Fee for Non-Members is paid online https://wellandtennisclub.com/guest-fees/

Pay by e-transfer to dboland@cogeco.ca stating which clinic you are paying for in the detail section. Payment may be made for 4 classes or 1 class at a time.

Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Cost:
$15/class for Members
