 Club Openingis April 1, 2024 The Welland Tennis Club officially opens on Monday, April 1st at 9:00 am. However before we can play tennis, we need volunteers to prepare the Club for the season. · This involves hanging the screens and putting up the nets on Courts 5 – 8. The lines need to be put down on courts 1 – 4 and is usually done starting early April and continues during the rest of the month depending on the weather and the condition of the clays. · The storage rooms ( the change rooms) have to be emptied of kitchen dishes and supplies, chairs, tables, benches, umbrellas and set out around the club. · The patio needs to be cleaned up from the winter weather to prepare for the setting up of outside tables and chairs. Monday, April 1st is a holiday for some and an excellent day to come out and assist other members for an hour or two or four. As we all know more members working together will get this job done more quickly.
