   March News Rose City Classic- Upcoming Regional Tournament at the WTC TOURNAMENT DATES June 10-16 2024 Singles, Doubles and Mixed play over a one week period. The WTC Board will be spearheading the Tournament for 2024. Membership Volunteers is a MUST if we want to have a successful tournament and draw quality players from the larger South West Region as well as showcase the talent at our own club. For Your Information In response to the 2023 Membership Questionnaire, the Board has taken your suggestions into consideration. We are attempting to organize AD HOC INTERCLUB reciprocal play in the Niagara Region in the following categories: Ladies A/B – Point person- Linda Anderson Mixed A/B – Point person- Chris Richard Mens A/B – Point person- Hal Evans Feelers have gone out to Tennis clubs in the Niagara Region to find point people for the respective categories so we can start the process. We will keep you informed of the interest and level of participation. Do you know we have a Masters Mixed League? Tom Medwin is the Coordinator of this league. The league runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 am – 10:30 am (8:30 am- 10:00 am starting in June) from April 1st until October when it starts to get too cold to play outdoors. You are encouraged to just drop in to play tennis on any of these days throughout the season without signing up. There is a small fee for the tennis balls. CPR-AED Certified Training Course Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation- Automated External Defibrillator (The Defibrillator at the Club is located on the wall across from the door to court 1 and 2) The Board is offering a free 3 hour training session in April to WTC members. The maximum number of registrants is 15. The Course covers adult, child and infant CPR-AED training. Upon completion of the course you will receive a CPR C Certificate. The date and other details will be determined based on the interest of the members. The class will be held either weekdays from 6 pm – 9 pm or Sunday 3 pm – 6 pm and based on availability.
