Welcome to another exciting year of outdoor tennis. Leagues, Club Socials, Club and Regional Tournaments top the list of Events for 2026. The Board, Teresa Butson, Kathi Pizzacalla, Laura Forgeron, Trisha Godbout, Rob Kozuh, Evan Kernaghan, Jos Nolle, and Els Swart are actively preparing for the Opening of the Club on April1st with Saturday, April 4th scheduled for the opening of the Clubhouse. For this we are appealing to you to come out and volunteer to organize the clubhouse for the beginning of the season.

The Registration process has been redesigned to make it easier to get your Membership. Go to https://wellandtennisclub.com/ and click on whether you are a New Member or a Returning Member and follow the prompts.The Early Bird Membership Fees are in effect until April 30th, 2026. The Adult Open House is May 13th from 6:00 -8:30 pm.  If you are a New member or a Returning member you are invited to play some tennis and get to know the club.

Introducing a New Membership for First Time Beginners
Would you like to learn the game of Tennis, consider yourself a newbie to the game of Tennis and would like to try it out? The reduced Membership Fee may encourage you to see if the game of tennis is for you.

If you are a Beginner, have not been a member of our Club, have not basically picked up a racquet before and have decided that you may want to try out the sport, click on the following membership link  https://wellandtennisclub.com/membership-options/ Go to Junior and First time Beginner Adult option and click on the photo.. Fill out only the spaces on the application form applicable to First Time Beginner Adult Membership. Payment by credit card can be made at the bottom of page.

Introducing the Round Robin Social for Beginners

Two courts will be dedicated to Beginner Tennis Players. The Round Robin Social is a Drop In Social every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 throughout the season. These players will play with other players at the same level, experiencing games on a full court to learn the Doubles game of tennis. There will not be a Ball Fee. The traditional Round Robin play for the rest of the membership will take place on the remaining 2-4 courts.

A Welland Weather App has been placed on the Homepage of the WTC Website. https://wellandtennisclub.com/ This will give members from outside of Welland a better idea of the weather at the Tennis club before driving from St. Catharines, Fort Erie or Grimsby to find out it is raining in Welland.

Attention Juniors and Parents

Juniors can now register for their WTC Membership (Online) and for the Junior Program for Spring and Summer. The Junior Brochure and Clinic levels and Fee details for the Program can be found by clicking the link above.

The Junior Open House dates are:

The Pro, Dave Boland and a Board member will be available to answer questions and discuss the Junior Program. WTC Junior Membership Registration is done online and payment for the Junior Program is done by e transfer(see brochure). It is suggested that the Brochure be printed, the application filled in, the waiver signed and given to Dave Boland at the Club or at the first lesson.

Allbooked (Skedda) Booking System
The Board has decided in order to increase usage of all courts and reduce unused courts in between bookings that each booking will be 1 1/2 hours in length and start at 8:00 am each day on weekdays. The bookings will therefore be from 8:00 – 9:30 am, 9:30 – 11:00 am and 11:00 – 12:30 pm on weekday mornings when the usage is highest. Please keep this in mind when booking.
